FAQ
Honest answers.
The questions dentists actually ask us, answered the way we'd answer them over coffee. If yours isn't here, send us a note.
Will Brace submit claims or appeals on my behalf?
No. A person on your team reads and submits every claim and every appeal. Brace points things out, writes drafts, makes recommendations. Your staff decides and clicks submit. It's a hard rule, not a setting we might flip later for the right customer.Which practice management software do you work with?
We work on top of your existing PMS. No switching, no replacement. We connect through whatever integration layer your PMS provides. If yours doesn't have one we can use, we'll tell you that during the audit, before you've committed to anything. How is Brace different from outsourced billing companies?
Outsourced billing companies are services. They charge 3% or more of every dollar you collect, the actual work happens in someone else's office, and the bill grows as your practice grows. Brace is a piece of software. The price is $1,000 a month per location, no matter how much you collect, and the work stays in your office with your team.Is Brace HIPAA compliant?
Yes. We sign a Business Associate Agreement with every practice. The AI models we use are the HIPAA-compliant deployments from our vendors. Patient data never trains any model — not now, not ever. What does the free audit actually cover?
We look at your last 90 days: claims, denials, downgrades, AR aging. Then we write up where money is currently leaking out and how much is realistically recoverable. You keep the report whether or not you sign up. It's the most honest opening pitch we can think of — here's the problem, you decide if we're the right ones to fix it.How long does setup take?
Usually less than a week between signing and running. We do the wiring, pull in your existing claims, and you'll see the first batch of things worth working in a couple of days. Your team doesn't need to migrate or move anything. What if I'm not happy after the first month?
Walk. The first month was free anyway, so worst case you got the audit and a month of better collections data on us. After that, there's no annual contract. Cancel any month and keep your data. We'd rather earn the renewal every month than trap you in one.
Still have questions?
Send a note. We read every one, usually the same day.
